Realme GT Neo 3 update: The GT series offered by Realme is for devices that offer excellent performance. This time, Realme launched The GT Neo 3, which was placed in the flagship series.
This device competes with the OnePlus 9, Vivo V23, Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro 5G, Poco X3 Pro and Oppo Reno 6 pro. But what makes it different from these devices, let’s check it out.
Realme GT Neo 3: What’s in the box?
The box consists of the device itself, with a not-so-clear transparent case, documentation, a 10A charging cable and a 160W charger.
The body and the design:
Realme GT Neo 3 is a light and thin smartphone. It weighs approx. 188 grams, which is decent. The back of the device is glass with two white stripes running across the camera bump.
The camera is well contained. The sides of the phone are carved out of plastic. The front screen is Gorilla Glass 5. On the sides there is a power lock-unlock button with the volume rocker on the alternate side. The bottom of the device has a Type-C charging port, a SIM card eject tray, and a dual-speaker setup on the top and bottom.
Realme GT Neo 3 comes with a 6.7″ AMOLED, FHD+ panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright up to 1000 nits of brightness and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The bezels of the device are very well contained, it comes with a punch-hole display, a screen-to-display ratio of 94% and the chin of the device is minimal.
The specifications :
Realme GT Neo 3 comes with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The device comes in 2 variants.
One, with 80W fast charging which has 6GB RAM+128GB ROM and 8GB RAM+128GB ROM. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, which we will talk about in detail next.
The second, with a fast charge of 150W has 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB of ROM and 12 GB of RAM + 256 GB of ROM. The battery capacity on this one is 4500 mAh which we will talk about in detail next.
The device comes with all the sensors and thanks to the new processor it supports 5G (with 9 bands), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling and NFC.
As we discussed, Realme GT Neo 3 has two variants, one with 80W fast charging which has 5000 mAh and another with 150W fast charging which has 4500 mAh. The phone is TUV Rheinland certified, for the charging safety mechanism. In the 150W variant, the company claims battery health will remain up to 80% after 1,600 charge cycles.
The Realme GT Neo 3 variant comes with LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 3.1 ROM. For context, LPDDR4 is a type of RAM and UFS is a type of storage that offers fast reading and writing speed of data.
Realme GT Neo 3 is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, which is integrated in OnePlus 10R, but in Realme GT Neo 3 this processor is not optimized. This processor is not optimized for a great gaming experience for this device, we very much hope the company can fix this issue with further updates.
The user interface:
Realme GT Neo 3 comes with Realme UI 3.0 which is based on Android 12, and the company promises 2 years of Android updates. The UI experience may be smooth initially, but it consists of various bloatware, which may not be feasible for some users, who like a clean UI experience.
Realme GT Neo 3, has three cameras on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor, with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The front of the device consists of a 16MP selfie camera.
The camera setup is the same as Realme 9 Pro+ but with the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, the image processing could be better. The device supports Camer2API and Wide 1 L1.
Price and final verdict:
The price of the device is different for the two variants:
- 80W variant starts at ₹38,999
- The 150W variant is featured with ₹42,999.
Both devices are almost the same, RAM and ROM specs are up to you, but if you want to be ready in 30 minutes of charging, you can go for the 150W variant and if charging isn’t a big deal for you, so go for the 80W variant.
