Alert for iPhone, iPad and Mac users! Update your device immediately, otherwise you may be a victim of great fraud

Apple released a major update for iPhones a few days ago. The iOS 15.6.1 update brought important security updates for iPhone users. Apple also mentioned it on their support page. These flaws could potentially allow cyber attackers to have full control over these devices. Apple says the bug could affect iPhone 6s and later, iPad 5th generation and later, all iPad-Pro models, iPad Air 2, and Macs. Two zero-day security updates have been released for iOS, iPadOS and macOS to fix the flaw.

Union Electronics and Technology Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar also urged iPhone users to get the latest OS updates. Additionally, CERT-IN, the government’s computer emergency response team, has also issued a notice to Apple users to get the latest updates for iPhones, MacBooks as well as iPads.

What security bugs did Apple fix?
On its support page, Apple mentioned that the update is available for all iPhone 6s and later customers. This means the bug could affect anyone using a previous version of iOS 15. Apple also said these security issues were reported by an unknown security researcher.

How to Update iPhone and iPad
To get the latest version of iOS, you need to follow these steps:
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Connect your device to the mains and connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software update.
4. If you see two software update options available, select the one you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download instead of Install, tap it to download the update, enter your password, then tap Install Now.
