Whether you are a new home owner or someone who has worked your house from the ground up and solved all of its problems, you should know that you will need tools. And often it’s not just one or two things, but a whole set of specialized tools needed for sawing, hammering, cutting, nailing, etc.
And yes, although we know all the tools that we need to gather for our projects, it is a little more difficult to keep everything in one place. That’s why we have giant tool kits, like rolling kits or that extra shelf in your garage, but what if we told you there’s an even better option? Or at least there was at one time.

It’s true that sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. And until the TikTok channel YesterdaysNews brought this article to our attention, we had really forgotten about this old style tool kit. But now that we remember it, we want to bring it back ASAP.
What is the toolbox? Well, it’s the rolykit!
Pretty much considered an odd offspring of a Toolbox and a Caboodle, this unusual 1970s storage set and if it doesn’t unlock a hidden memory we’re so, so sorry (and you might just being a little too young.) Literally these things were all over the TV commercials throughout the 80s and 90s, and we can bet your DIY or craftsman relative more than likely had one of these.
When rolled up, your tools are safely stored, but you can also unlock it, unroll it and have the complete set at your disposal. This thing has incredible storage capacity, and its ability to store anything and everything is incredible.
Do you have knitting needles you don’t want to get out of? Throw them in the Roly! Pliers, nails, screws, all the bric-a-brac with your tools? The Rolykit can hold anything, not to mention you could shake the thing like it was going through an earthquake and nothing would come out.
So we just have one last question – why haven’t they come back yet?
