WHICH room in your house is the dirtiest? Chances are your kitchen is the epicenter of your family’s activity, and it shows in cluttered counters and overloaded drawers.

A home decor pro has shared his brilliant strategies for keeping three separate kitchen areas tidy, and if you want to use his three strategies at home, you could spend as little as $45.

YouTube personality Drew Scott is a DIY enthusiast and has his own homewares store, Lone Fox, as well as a million followers on TikTok.

In a recent video, Scott revealed the super simple methods he uses to keep his kitchen clean and organized.

“These life-saving kitchen hacks are a must-try,” Scott advised.

First, he showed a way to store your measuring spoons and cups. As any home chef knows, “nesting” tools are great in theory, but inevitably clog drawers once they come loose inside.

“Just place a few Command Hooks on the back of one of your cabinet doors,” Scott demonstrated.

“Slip all of your measuring spoons to the bottom of these order hooks and make another row at the top for your measuring cups.”

Never again will you find yourself using a spatula to dislodge a half cup or teaspoon from the drawer rails.

“All you have to do is open and close this when you want to grab one,” Scott explained.

You can buy Command hook sets online and in stores in different combinations, but a $4 investment should get you enough for the average kitchen.

Scott also featured another savvy buy, which you can secure at Walmart or Target for around $30.

“If you need extra storage, I bought this over the toilet storage organizer for a bathroom, but I actually put it on top of my trash can,” he explained .

The sturdy metal shelves were the perfect height to allow access to Scott’s trash can, while creating more storage around and above the area.

“It offered so much more storage for items that wouldn’t fit in my small apartment drawers,” Scott explained, “like this air fryer or one of those baskets with cleaning supplies.”

But one thing was missing in particular on the shelves around the trash can: the trash bags. It’s because Scott keeps them in a completely awesome hiding place.

“Let’s make a dispenser for our garbage bags,” Scott ordered.

He took a roll of trash bags out of their original box and slipped the entire roll into a paper towel roll holder.

You can also try the trick at home and keep an unsightly tangle of trash bags out of the way.

“Just step inside your closet door, and you’re good to go,” Scott said.

If you’re having trouble getting your roll of bags onto the “dispenser” arm, never fear. Scott explained what to do in a comment.

“Pull out a bag from the middle,” he advised. “Just wiggle your fingers inside and pull one out and it will let you put it on!”

Similar wall mounts can be found for around $8 at hardware and home improvement stores, or you can try a standing dispenser for even less.

Using the three tips is a small investment that will save you time, energy, and frustration in the long run.
