Egyptian nightlife has seen a serious expansion in cities other than Cairo and the north coast – parties are now popping up in places like Gouna, Fayoum, Sinai and even Siwa. Among Egypt’s vast party promoters and event organizers, the Yuma Festival offers a two-day musical extravaganza February 24-25 in the Sinai.
Yuma aims to provide a new concept for electronic music lovers, offering a diverse range from melodic, downtempo and organic sounds to more groovy sounds like house and minimal. The party should be organized in two different places; with the first day at Le Méridien Dahab resort which will be dedicated to hosting live artists such as Husa & Zeyada, Balqeis and Shunu.
The second day will be hosted at Al-Tawaillat Mountain for relatively ‘harder’ styles of music, which sees international stars Einmusic, Darin Epsilon and Toto Chiavetta hit the decks, joined by local heroes Ahmed Samy and Al Sharif.
The festival is shaping up to be more than just a music event, with various activities, Sinai-inspired merchandise, food and drink on offer. For more information, go to @yumafestivaleg on Instagram or contact 01015957649.
