New Delhi. Chinese brand Redmi has launched the Redmi A1 Plus handset in Kenya. In recent weeks, many leaks have appeared regarding the A1 Plus variant. It is an entry level phone. This phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The company has presented the phone in three color options and it is priced around Rs 7000. The phone is available for sale on popular African e-commerce site Jumia.
As mentioned in the leak, the Remdi A1 Plus phone is similar to the Redmi A1. The only difference between the two phones is the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. For photography, this phone has two cameras with LED flash. Apart from this, the company offers a 5000 mAh battery in the phone.

The phone has a 6.52-inch HD+ Due Drop Notch display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. A dewdrop notch has also been added to it. Its maximum brightness level is 400 nits. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

It boots Android 12 Go Edition and is powered by a 5000mAh battery supporting 10W wired charging. For connectivity, the phone also has dual SIM, 4G, single band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS and a microUSB port. The device also has a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For photography, the Redmi A1 Plus phone has two cameras with LED flash. These include a 0.3-megapixel depth sensor along with an 8-megapixel main sensor. At the same time, the company offers a 5-megapixel camera on the front of the phone for selfies. The phone is available in three color options black, blue and green.

The Redmi A1 Plus 3GB + 32GB memory configuration is priced at KShs 10,345 (around Rs 7,000) in Kenya. It is available for sale on Jumia in Black and Blue color variants. Xiaomi may make this affordable smartphone available in more markets in the coming days.
