Samsung teases new Galaxy Z Fold device for next unboxed event

Last week, Samsung confirmed that it was holding its Unpacked event on August 10. As part of the reveal, the company released a teaser about what will be announced. Said teaser showed glimpses of what looks like a Galaxy Z Flip device, which will presumably be called the Galaxy Z Flip4. The South Korean tech giant has since released a new teaser, this time teasing another round of foldable devices.

This new teaser is more than twice as long as the previous one and features a significantly wider device. There are also plenty of pans in the dark to show this, as well as the similar “greater than” spiel.

Considering this is another teaser, there’s nothing new to take from it. Although a previous leak, assuming it’s accurate, may have told us most of what we want to know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, at least in terms of what’s on its spec sheet. The device is expected to sport the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset, between 12GB and 16GB of RAM and between 256GB and 512GB of storage space. It’s also expected to sport the same 4,400mAh battery as the Galaxy Z Fold3 and its 25W charging support.

The same goes for the main camera setup on the back, with the leaks pointing to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 using three shooters. But rather than having 12MP cameras for all of them, the primary camera will be a 50MP unit. The under-screen front camera jumps to 16MP, while the cover-screen camera remains the same at 10MP.

With the Samsung Unpacked event taking place on August 10, it won’t be long before these details are confirmed. The same goes for Galaxy Z Flip4 information. Beyond the two foldables, the company is also expected to announce a new pair of TWS headphones and a new smartwatch.
